2. Resume Profile

A resume profile is a brief introductory section (two to four sentences) that encapsulates your professional identity and key qualifications. Its primary role is to serve as an engaging pitch to hiring managers, drawing them in and prompting further exploration of your resume.

3. Work Experience

The work experience on your resume is an important aspect of your professional narrative. Employers assess your job history to understand not just where you’ve worked, but how you’ve influenced the projects and campaigns you’ve been part of.

Your modeling experience showcases how your background aligns with the demands of the industry, highlighting your versatility and ability to adapt in various settings.

The work experience section should contain:

• Job title
• Employer name and location
• Dates of employment (month/year)
• 3–5 bullet points describing your relevant responsibilities and achievements

Tailor your content to highlight experiences relevant to the modeling industry. Start each bullet point with an action verb (like “Posed,” “Collaborated,” “Styled”) to create a strong impression of your contributions.

Skills can be grouped into three categories:

• Soft skills are personal qualities that influence how well individuals collaborate with others in any profession. Key soft skills include communication, adaptability, problem-solving, and teamwork.
• Hard skills are specific, quantifiable abilities gained through education, training, or experience. For a model, examples include runway walking, posing for editorial and commercial shoots, and maintaining strong body awareness and posture.
• Technical skills refer to the specialized knowledge and practical capabilities needed to perform specific tasks. In modeling, this includes posing for campaigns and using portfolio and casting platforms such as Casting Networks and social media.
